The lettuce nudibranch is also known as the lettuce sea slug. Hobbyists add them to their reef aquarium because of their powerful algae eating abilities.  They get their unique color from the chlorophyll in the algae they eat and their name from their lettuce like appearance. They are non toxic and 100% reef safe and won’t harm anything in your reef tank.

For their size they are by far the most powerful algae eater when compared to hermits and snails that eat similar algae’s making simply one of the most effective reef tank cleaners. They are one of the best hair algae eaters you can add to your aquarium.
