Chaetomorpha Algae
(Chaetomorpha sp.)

This tried and tested macro algae has been used successfully in the reefing hobby, in refugiums, for nutrient export. It grows very fast and exports both phosphates and nitrates as it grows. The Phosphate and nitrate are not truly exported from the aquarium until the chaeto is harvested and removed. Chaeto does require medium to strong flow and does best when it tumbles within your refugium. It will grow well under medium lightning.
