Appearance & Growth Form
Acropora rosaria typically grows as a branching colony with numerous slender upward-and-outward projecting branches. Its coloration is one of its main attractions and this variety comes in a orange yellow tone. In a home aquarium, when given favourable conditions, the branches expand outward and upward, gradually filling space. Like many SPS (“small-polyp stony”) corals, Acropora rosaria’s growth is responsive to lighting, water flow, and chemistry.
Habitat & Natural Distribution
Acropora rosaria is found in the Indo-Pacific region, occurring on shallow reef crests and slopes. This variety is maricultured, in coral farms in the ocean in Bali, Indonesia. This a coral that thrives in high light condition, at Fragbox we keep under par levels of 300-400
