Balanophyllia Coral

Balanophyllia elegans is bright orange, colorful, non photosynethic, LPS species of solitary cup coral, a stony coral in the family Dendrophylliidae.

Unlike most corals which are photosynethic and will convert lights into a usable form of food energy, tese corals are NPS or non photosynethic, meaning they need to be fed in order to survive in your reef tank.
