Catalaphyllia jardinei is a beautiful and unique LPS coral that is commonly referred to as Elegance Coral. They are usually found living as a lone polyp. Its beautiful large polyps extend far from a small calcium base. It sometimes referred to as wonder coral or even ridge coral.  Its one the most beautiful and unique large polyp stony corals of the world.  It extended fully during the day and retracts its polyps back into its base at night. It comes wild patterns and colors that are emphasized under blue led lightning.  They love to eat and will except almost all meaty food and vitalis lps pellets.  It will benefit and look healthier with general and regular feeding.

They are generally easy to care for and do best in lower light and flow conditions. Larger colonies can deplete calcium, strontium and trace elements in the water but this can be corrected with regular water changes. It is generally accepted that they can not be fragged but we would argue from personal experience that they can be.  They can grow quiet larger up to 1 foot across so make sure to give them space to grow, although they do grow quite slowly.  You will want to keep this coral away from other corals with potent sweepers, to prevent it from getting damaged. It safe to place beside most other lps corals. Do not add to an aquarium with angelfish or butterflies are they are notorious for nipping on these corals polyps.
