Information

One of our personal favorites!

Acan Corals come in a wide range of colors and are very easy to keep. The nicest acans comes from Australia and are usually red, orange and multicolored.  Unusual varities are also found in Vietname and Indonesia. Healthy Acans have a fluffy appearance and do not have their skeleton exposed, so keep that in mind when you are looking to purchase one for your tank. Acans prefer to be in low light with low flow, so we recommend placing them at the bottom of the tank or in caves. It is worth noting that they should not be placed near Acan Enchinatas. Even though the two are from the same family Acans will still get stung by them. Feeding is not necessary for Acans but highly highly and cant stress this enough HIGHLY encouraged for better color and faster growth. They grow by producing new heads and will eventually form a dome shape when fully grown. It is difficult to frag them as you will need to cut down on its skeleton in between two heads.

For best results feed your acans fauna LPS pellets
